New blog?
Well sort of, but I thought I could write about KPOP and music there instead of here and this could turn into a blog about myself (like it was a few years ago). Which probably means that I will never update this blog ever again LOL. I don't really like writing stuff about myself since I think I'm incredibly boring.
I haven't updated "the new blog" yet and I'm still fixing the design. But I like it the way it is right now (if you know what I mean *wink wink*) and I don't want the beautiful (read; sexy) background to get hidden by boring entries ;)

I wasn't sure what I was going to do with the whole DBSK/JYJ thing since the members are technically not in the same group anymore, though I tend to think of them like that sometimes (still in denial? Maybe.). In the end I put one bias for DBSK and one for JYJ but it brakes my heart doing so *sad face*.

I can choose a bias in every group out there, but not when it comes to Infinite.
Maybe that's why I never get tired of them.

So I watched Girls' Generation's performance on David Letterman's Late Show.
I personally think that they put on an awesome show, but ofc since people have different taste in music some will not like this. Negative comments does not bother me at all 'cause I think everyone should be able to say what they truly feel. However, like most KPOP listeners know, there's no chance in hell that you will get away with a negative comment on SNSD (SNSD = Girls' Generation's korean name) when it comes to SONES (their fanclub). Just like ELFs are when it comes to Super Junior, SONES are extremely protective and will not tolerate ANY bad comments what so ever. It's good to stand up against hate and negativity but there is a fine line between standing up with a short, firm reply and standing up with pure hatred.
In this case, it's actually not the haters that are the "haters" it's the fans themselves.
Most comments against SNSD are not THAT terrible, more in the way of "I don't like this song" or "I don't think they look good, not really my type".
I decided to take some random examples from a certain YT user that commented on this video.
Since my Print Screen key died (as you may have read a few days ago) I copied the comments.
This (male) SONE decided to reply a few comments to a girl who apparently didn't reaaaally like this particular performance and said something about liking KPOP boy groups more (Not reveling the user names since I don't think it's the right thing to do).
Believe me, I did not alter this in any way.

Anyway, I like the song. A lot of people say it sounds like DBSK's Before U Go and yes they are very similar, but doesn't all R&B songs sound alike? People are only trying to focus on the negative sides all the time and it's kind of annoying. These 4 (2+2) members have got great vocals so let's try focusing on that instead.
The MV is also really well made and they look very nice (Lol, imagine Borat saying that last part!) no seriously, these guys are drop dead gorgeous, it's INSANE!

SME has taken the # of teasers and the # of sound effects to a whole other level.
I mean, I'm excited over this new group (like always when it comes to kpop) but I feel like SM is just mocking us with all these darn teasers. And what's up with KAI being in 90% of them? Sure he's gorgeous, sure he can dance but I'd like to see more of the other members as well.
The latest one (#12) came out a few days ago and EXO's song (Two Moons ft. SHINee's Key. OMGOMG! *fangirling*) that is featured here is also my favorite song so far (though it's kinda hard to compare when not having the full songs).
I have to give SM credit for this smart marketing strategy, I mean, everyone's talking about the amount of teasers and that it seems like the group will never have their debut (and being in SM is a benefit itself since you've got huge popular groups such as SJ and SHINee etc. to help with the promotions though I'd say that the company's management of the groups is horrible).
We all know what will happen to this group.
They will become HUGE, like all their other labelmates and they will probably also become important figures in the current Hallyu wave.
